Pilates is a premier form of exercise that was developed by Joseph H. Pilates during the first World War to rehabilitate injured soldiers. It has since progressed to become an ideal low impact exercise to safely correct muscular imbalances and improve posture, coordination, balance, strength, flexibility, and endurance for people of all ability levels and ages. STOTT Pilates is a contemporary approach to the original Pilates exercise method that continues to work closely with physical therapists, sports medicine, and other fitness professionals to keep the method current with medical and fitness research. In addition to matwork, Re-Form Physical Therapy & Pilates uses Pilates apparatuses including the cadillac, reformer, tower, chair, and ladder barrel.
