What is Pilates?
History of Pilates
Pilates is a premier form of exercise that was developed by Joseph H. Pilates during the first World War to rehabilitate injured soldiers. It has since progressed to become an ideal, low impact exercise that safely corrects muscular imbalances and improves posture, coordination, balance, strength, flexibility, and endurance for people of all ability levels and ages.
How it Works
Pilates is a considered a total body workout; building funtctional strength through a series of controlled movements that focus on core muscles groups such as, abdominals, hips, gluteal, lower and upper back, and inner thigh muscles. In addition to traditional mat-work, Re-Form uses Pilates apparatuses including the cadillac, reformer, tower, chair, and ladder barrel to provide you a variety of training tools to challenge you in each workout.
